SHRIMP A LA MIRLITON 
4 or 5 med. Mirliton
2 c. bread crumbs
1 c. chopped raw shrimp
1 lg. minced onion
1 lg. minced garlic
2 ribs celery, chopped fine
4 green onions, chopped fine
3 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
1/3 tsp. pepper
1 egg, beaten
2 tbsp. chopped parsley
1 c. buttered bread crumbs

In salted water, boil Mirlitons until tender. Cut Mirliton lengthwise in half. Remove pulp and save shell. Add to plain bread crumbs. Saute shrimp, onion, garlic, celery, green onion in butter. Add egg and parsley. Combine with pulp and bread mixture. Mix well. Fill shell or 3 quart pan. Sprinkle with buttered bread crumbs. Bake in 375 degree oven for 25 minutes. Serves 8.
