GOLDEN BEEF CASSEROLE 
1 lb. lean ground beef
1/4 c. diced onion
1/4 c. diced green pepper
3/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 undiluted can cream of mushroom soup
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
24 oz. whole kernel corn, drained

Brown beef, onion, and green pepper in small amount of melted shortening in large heavy frying pan. Mix in remaining ingredients. Spoon into greased 1 3/4 quart casserole.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes. Serves 4-6.
