POLYNESIAN STEAK 
2 med. onions, sliced thin
1/4 c. butter
1 1/4 lb. round steak, cut in 3/4 x 4 inch strips
1 clove garlic, mashed
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 can chicken rice soup
1 can sliced mushrooms, or fresh
1 1/2 c. water
1 tsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. celery, chopped
1 green pepper, cut in strips

Saute onions and garlic in butter for 5 minutes; remove from pan. Brown meat on all sides, add onions, garlic, salt, pepper, soup, mushrooms, 1 cup water, and soy sauce. Cover and simmer 1 hour or until tender. Add remaining water with cornstarch. Cook 5 minutes. Add vegetables. Cook. Vegetables should retain a little crispness. Serve with rice.
