6-8 slices bread, dried and cubed
5-6 apples, peeled and cut into chunks
1 1/2 c. raisins
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. butter
Cinnamon as desired

Put bread cubes in an oven-proof casserole. Cover bread with water. Add all other ingredients and mix. Bake covered in 350 degree oven for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Check and add water to keep moist, but not soupy. Uncover last 15 minutes of baking. Serve with any type of meat.
