TOMATO SOUP CAKE 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 can tomato soup, undiluted
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
Pinch of salt

Cream sugar and shortening together, then add 1 can tomato soup, undiluted.

Combine remaining ingredients and add to the above mixture. Fold in 1/2 cup nut meats if desired. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until tested done with a toothpick.

Frost when cool with cream cheese and powdered sugar frosting using 3 ounce package of cream cheese.

This is a tasty spice cake.
