ROUND STEAK ROLLS 
Cut round steak that has been pounded quite thin into 1 inch strips. Season with salt, pepper, basil and thyme. Cover with finely chopped onion and bacon. Roll up, fasten with toothpicks or string. Brown in bacon fat. Cover with wine. If sour wine is used add brown sugar. Cover and cook very slow until tender. Remove string or picks and make gravy.
