STIR-FRY PORK ROAST | |
1-1 1/2 lb. pork roast 3/4 c. water 4 tbsp. soy sauce 3 tbsp. dry white wine (optional) 5 tsp. cornstarch 1/4 tsp. Oriental 5 spice 2 tbsp. cooking oil 8 oz. fresh mushrooms, sliced 8 green onions, sliced 1 (10 oz.) frozen pea pods 1/2 c. sliced water chestnuts Cut pork in bite-size pieces. Combine with first 5 ingredients and set aside. Preheat wok (high heat) or skillet. Stir-fry mushrooms and onions 2 minutes; remove. Add remaining oil. Stir-fry pork until done. Add soy mixture to wok; stir until thickened. Remove from heat. Add mushrooms, pea pods and water chestnuts. Stir to coat and serve. Serve with rice. Yield: 6-8 servings, 260 calories per serving. |
