HOT CHEESE DIP 
1/4 c. finely chopped green onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. dried tarragon, crushed
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. cornstarch
3/4 c. milk
2 c. shredded American cheese
3 oz. pkg. cream cheese
Cut-up French bread cubes or tortilla chips

In a saucepan, cook onion, garlic, and tarragon in butter. Stir in cornstarch. Add milk all at once. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Gradually add cheeses, stirring until melted. Serve with bread or chips. Makes 2 cups.
