3 c. sugar
1 c. Karo syrup
1 c. water
6 drops red food coloring
3 1/4 c. peanuts
1/4 c. butter
1/8 tsp. salt

Bring first 5 ingredients to boil. Cook to hard boil stage. Remove from heat, add butter and salt. Stir until cool. Spoon out onto wax paper, forming pattie about 3-5 inches in diameter.
