JUDY'S HOLIDAY YEAST ROLLS | |
1/2 c. Crisco 1 pkg. yeast 1/2 c. warm water (105 to 115 degrees) 1/2 c. hot water 1 egg 2 tbsp. sugar 3 c. self-rising flour Mix yeast and warm water in a cup; set aside. Put Crisco in a bowl and add hot water; allow to cool, then add yeast mixture, egg, sugar and flour. Mix well and put dough in a greased bowl; let rise until doubled. Knead dough. Make rolls, brush with melted butter and let rise 1 hour. Bake at 400 degrees until brown. |
