PEACH BREAD | |
1 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. shortening 2 eggs 2 1/4 c. fresh peach puree (6-8 med. peaches, peeled & blended in blender) 2 c. flour 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1 c. finely chopped pecans (optional) Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs; mix thoroughly. Add peach puree. Fold in dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly. Add vanilla and pecans; stir until blended. Pour into two 5 x 9 inch greased and floured loaf pans. Bake at 325 degrees for 55 minutes to 1 hour. Let bread cool for 20 minutes before removing from pan. |
