ELEPHANT EARS 
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. warm water
2 1/4 c. flour
1/3 c. milk
1 beaten egg
2/3 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt

FILLING:

3/4 c. brown sugar
1 c. pecans or walnuts (opt.)
Cinnamon

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Mix flour with butter as for pie dough. Add yeast mixture and remaining ingredients. Let dough rest for 20 minutes. Roll dough as for cinnamon rolls. Spread with filling, roll up. Cut in about 2" slices. Flatten out between wax paper. Bake at 375 degrees for about 20 minutes.
