CHOCOLATE OATMEAL CHIPPERS 
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. butter
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 lg. eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 c. oatmeal
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
3/4 c. chopped pecans or walnuts

Mix flour, baking soda and cinnamon. Heat oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl beat butter and sugar until creamy; beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour mixture, 1/4 at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in remaining ingredients. Using 1 tablespoon for each cookie, drop batter 3" apart onto lightly greased baking sheets. Bake 9 to 12 minutes until crisp and golden brown. Makes 8 dozen cookies. 69 calories each.
