GRAMMIE'S SOUR CREAM CHOCOLATE
CAKE
 
4 (1 oz.) unsweetened chocolate squares
1 c. hot water
2 eggs, beaten
2 c. sugar
1 (8 oz.) sour cream
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Combine chocolate and hot water in a small saucepan, place over low heat, stirring until chocolate melts. Remove from heat and set aside. Combine eggs and sugar in a medium mixing bowl, mix well. Add sour cream, chocolate mixture and vanilla, mix well. Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Gradually add to chocolate mixture and mix well. Pour into 2 greased and floured 8 inch cake pans. Bake at 300 degrees for 55 minutes or until wooden pick comes out clean. (It is not a thick batter.)
