MARINATED SLAW 
1 lg. cabbage
1 green bell pepper
2 onions
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. white vinegar
1/2 c. corn oil
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tbsp. salt
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tbsp. sugar

Grate cabbage, chop onions and pepper. Mix together in bowl, sprinkle sugar over all and mash down.

In a saucepan, mix 1 tablespoon sugar and corn oil, vinegar, mustard, celery seed and salt. Bring to a boil and pour over cabbage mixture; seal container, do not stir. Store in refrigerator overnight. Serves 8-10.
