ELLA MAE'S SWEET POTATO PIE 
The only electricity used in baking this pie is your oven. A prepared pie crust was used also. If you choose to make your own crust, do so.

Boil unpeeled sweet potatoes in a large pot with baking oil. Test the potatoes with a fork for tenderness. When tender, cool slightly in a colander. Peel the potatoes while very warm and place into mixing pot. Roll up your sleeves and mix in these ingredients: Butter Sugar Flour (not a lot, just for thickening) Vanilla extract Lemon juice Allspice Nutmeg
