CRUSHED BANANA CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. shortening
4 tbsp. sour milk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. crushed bananas
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt

FROSTING:

3 tbsp. boiling water
3/4 c. brown sugar
Butter, size of 2 eggs
Powdered sugar

Cream sugar, salt and shortening. Add eggs and beat. Add crushed bananas. Add vanilla then flour, soda and milk alternately.

FROSTING: Heat until bubbles on side of pan. Remove from fire and add powdered sugar and beat until thick enough to frost cake.
