BANANA YANKEE STYLE BREAD 
6 tbsp. molasses
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. mashed bananas
1/2 c. chopped dates
1 c. wheat flour
1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Combine molasses, buttermilk, bananas and dates. Combine flour, cornmeal, baking soda and salt. Add to first mixture, stirring until blended. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Makes 1 large loaf.
