STEAK AND NOODLES | |
6 chopped steak patties 2 tsp. granulated garlic 1 1/2 tsp. Hickory flavored salt 2 onions, cut in half then sliced 1 can (4 oz.) mushrooms 1 jar Heinz gravy with mushrooms 1 jar Heinz gravy with onions 1/4 c. dry Vermouth 1/2 pkg. noodles After seasoning the steaks with garlic and Hickory salt, brown in large heavy skillet with 1 tablespoon of oil or shortening (Crisco butter flavored). Drain the grease from pan. Add onions and mushrooms; cook for several minutes. Add the 2 jars of gravy and the Vermouth; cover. Place in oven (170-200 degrees) for about 1/2 hour. Cook noodles according to directions; then add to meat and gravy. Return to oven for another 15 minutes. Serve with vegetables. |
