ROUND STEAK AND NOODLES 
2-3 lb. trimmed round steak
1 tbsp. shortening
1 chopped onion
1/4 tsp. pepper
5 beef bouillon cubes
1 hot pepper
2-3 tbsp. cornstarch

Cut round steak into serving pieces. Brown in shortening with onion. After browning add enough water to cover meat. Add 1/4 teaspoon pepper and 5 beef bouillon cubes. No salt. Cover and let simmer on low heat for 1 1/2 hours until soft. Add 1 hot pepper which has been deseeded. Leave pepper in the last 1/2 hour. Remove pepper and discard. Dissolve cornstarch in cold water. Constantly stirring, add this to the round steak. Always make sure you have enough liquid. Serve over cooked noodles.

NOTE: Always keep a pack of hot peppers in your freeze. No need to thaw out when using a dish.
