WALNUT/RAISIN CAKE 
1 1/2 c. oil
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. apples, canned Comstock
1 c. raisins
1 c. walnuts

Combine oil, sugar, egg, vanilla; add slowly flour mixture of flour, salt, and baking soda. Add raisins, apples, and walnuts. Bake 1 hour.

FROSTING:

Melt 1 stick butter; combine with 1 cup brown sugar and pour mixture over warm cake.
