KENTUCKY BEER CHEESE | |
2 lbs. sharp cheese 2 garlic pods (I use 1/2 tbsp. garlic powder) 1 bottle "flat" beer (leave open several hours before using) 3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp. salt 2 tsp. powdered mustard 1, 2 or 3 tbsp. Tabasco sauce & crushed red peppers to your preference Grate cheese fine. Use electric mixer and slowly add beer to all the mixture. Needs to beat for at least 20 minutes, maybe more. Be sure to scrape sides of bowl for complete mix. Store in glass jars in refrigerator. Will keep for several months and the longer stored, the hotter it becomes. Great as a spread with crackers. Can also be put on top of baked potatoes. This recipe was given to me as a wedding gift and is a winner every time. |
