CAULIFLOWER PICKLES 
1 gallon cauliflower
1 1/2 qt. onions
2 green peppers
1/2 c. salt
5 c. sugar
5 c. vinegar
1/2 tsp. turmeric
1 tsp. celery seed
2 tbsp. mustard seed

Cut cauliflower into florets. Mix salt and vegetables. Put in a bowl with ice and let stand 3 hours. Drain well and add rest of ingredients. Place in a kettle. Heat to scalding point. Seal in sterilized jars. Makes about 8 pints.
