BOSTON CREAM PIE 
1 (9 inch) layer (such as Hot milk layer)
1/3 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/8 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. milk
2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
2 tsp. vanilla
1 sq. chocolate, melted
2 tbsp. butter, melted
1/4 c. confectioners' sugar

Prepare filling as follows: Mix thoroughly sugar, cornstarch and salt in medium saucepan. Stir milk into egg yolks; gradually stir egg mixture into dry ingredients. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boil. Boil and stir 1 minute. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Cool.

Prepare chocolate frosting as follows: Combine chocolate and butter with confectioners' sugar.

Assemble as follows: split cake layer to make two thin layers. Fill with custard filling. Spread chocolate frosting on top. Chill.
