COCONUT MACAROONS 
4 c. coconut
1 c. sugar
9 tbsp. flour
6 egg whites, lightly beaten
3/8 tsp. salt
3 tsp. vanilla
Red or green candied cherries (may be cut in half)

Mix all ingredients except cherries together and stir until blended. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls on lightly greased cookie sheet. Top each cookie with a candied cherries. Bake 20 to 25 minutes at 325 degrees. Makes about 4 1/2 dozen. Recipe can be doubled.
