MAMMOUTH SOFT MOLASSES COOKIES 
1 stick butter
1 c. dark molasses
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
3/4 c. sweet milk
4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
2 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/4 tsp. ginger

Place butter and molasses in pan on low heat. Stir until butter is melted. Remove from heat. Add sugar and eggs; blend. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk; mix well. Drop large teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart, on ungreased sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Approximately 4 dozen.
