PINEAPPLE MERINGUE PIE 
1 lg. can crushed pineapple
3/4 c. sugar
Dash of salt
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/3 c. cornstarch dissolved in 1/3 c. water
3 eggs, separated
2 tbsp. butter

Make a single pie crust. Mix first 5 ingredients and bring to boil. Boil 4 minutes, until thick. Add egg yolks. Boil 1 minute more. Add butter. Put filling in pie shell. Can put meringue on top made from the 3 whites or can put Cool Whip on top.
