APPLE SLICE DESSERT 
DOUGH:

2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. water
2 egg yolks
1 tbsp. lemon juice

FILLING:

5 or more apples, cored & peeled & sliced
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. flour

DOUGH: Cut shortening into salt and flour. Beat together water, egg yolks and lemon juice; mix well into flour mixture. Roll out onto cookie sheet or jelly roll pan (pre-treated with Pam non-stick cooking spray).

FILLING: Place a layer of apples atop of dough and squeeze lemon juice over. Combine sugar, cinnamon and flour; sprinkle over apples. Bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes. Let cool slightly and drizzle a glaze (of powdered sugar and water) over top. If desired, sprinkle with nuts.
