MOM'S BRAN MUFFINS 
1 (15 oz.) box raisin bran cereal
1 c. melted shortening (1/2 Crisco, 1/2 butter)
2 1/2 - 3 c. sugar
4 beaten eggs
1 qt. buttermilk
5 c. flour
5 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt

Mix in order given. Put in pans and bake. Will keep in refrigerator up to 5 weeks. DO NOT store in metal pans. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes in a muffin tin. Makes 5 dozen.
