MANDARIN ORANGE GREEN SALAD 
1/2 head shredded lettuce (I use some red leaf lettuce also)
2 green onions, minced
1 can mandarin oranges, drained
1/2 c. caramelized almonds (recipe below)

DRESSING:

1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 c. salad oil
Dash of pepper

Salad: Mix together at last minute and toss with dressing.

Dressing: Put in jar and shake well.

CARAMELIZED ALMONDS:

2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. butter
Slivered almonds

Melt butter and brown sugar in skillet; add almonds. Stir constantly until sugar melts and turns brown and collects. Remove from heat and spread on waxed paper. When cool, break apart.
