VINEGAR SLAW 
3 lbs. chopped cabbage
2 pods chopped green pepper
2 med. chopped onions
1 lg. chopped carrot
1 tbsp. salt
2 tbsp. mustard seed
2 c. sugar
2 c. water
2 c. vinegar

Bring salt, mustard seed, sugar, water, and vinegar to a boil (until sugar is dissolved). Set aside to cool.

Combine cabbage, green peppers, onions, and carrots. Pour cooled liquid over these ingredients and store in refrigerator. This slaw will keep for several weeks.
