PERFECT APPLE PIE 
1 pkg. frozen pie shells
4 c. sliced tart apples (4 to 5 apples)
3/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
Dash of nutmeg
2 tbsp. butter

Pare apples, slice thin; combine sugar, flour, spices and salt, mix with apples. Place in bottom crust, dot with butter. Cover with top crust and crimp to seal. Cut several slits in top. Bake in 400 degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes until crust is golden brown and filling is bubbly.
