BOILED RAISIN CAKE 
1 c. honey
1 c. water
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 lb. raisins

Stir together in a DEEP saucepan and boil 1 minute. Remove from heat and 1 teaspoon baking soda and beat hard to keep from overflowing.

When cool, add 1 3/4 cups whole wheat flour. Mix well and pour into 8x8 inch greased and floured cake pan. Bake 45 minutes or until done at 350 degrees.
