OVEN CARAMEL POPCORN 
2 c. brown sugar
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. corn syrup
6 or 8 qts. popped corn, depending on how covered with syrup you want
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. butter flavoring
Nutmeats (opt.)

Boil brown sugar, butter, syrup and salt for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add baking soda and butter flavoring. Stir very well over popped corn and nutmeats (peanuts, pecans, walnuts, cashews). Spread on cookie sheet. Place in 200 degree oven for 1 hour, stirring at 15 minute intervals. Remove from oven and let cool. Store in covered container to keep syrup.
