Mix pudding before cake is put in the oven. Cook according to directions but with reduced milk. Stir occasionally to keep it smooth.

Bake the cake according to directions. Remove from oven, let cool and remove from pans. When cool, spread pudding on bottom layer. Cover with a layer of sliced bananas. Add the top layer and spread the remaining pudding on top and add a layer of bananas. Cover top or entire cake with Dream Whip.
