NO PEEK STEW 
2 tbsp. dry tapioca
1 can (10 3/4 oz.) tomato soup
1 can (10 3/4 oz.) water
1 to 2 lb. beef (or lean pork) chunks
3 carrots, chunked
3 to 4 potatoes, chunked
3 ribs celery, chunked
Onion (or leeks), chunked

SEASONINGS:

Parsley
Thyme
4 anise seeds
1 bay leaf
Salt
Pepper

Mix all together in an oven going bowl or casserole dish and cover tightly with aluminum foil. (If using a bowl: cover with foil and place a heavy dish on top. If using a casserole dish: cover with foil then place heavy lid on top.) Bake at 250 degrees for 5 hours. NO PEEKING!! Serve with hot crusty bread, salad and a light dessert.
