CHEWY PECAN PIE SQUARES 
1 (18.5 oz.) pkg. yellow cake mix
5 lg. eggs
1 c. dark corn syrup
1/4 c. butter, melted
1 c. sugar
2 c. chopped pecans
1/3 c. oil

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. In large bowl mix cake mix, 1 egg and 1/3 cup oil until crumbly. Press into bottom of prepared pan; bake 20 minutes.

2. In large bowl of electric mixer, at medium high speed, beat remaining eggs with corn syrup, sugar and butter until blended, stir in pecans. Pour on top of cake mixture that has been baked in pan, bake 45 minutes or until filling has set. Cool completely; cut into squares (2 inches). Makes 2 dozen.
