1 pkg. yellow cake mix
5 lg. eggs
1 c. dark corn syrup
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter, melted
2 c. chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. In large bowl mix cake mix, 1 egg and 1/2 cup salad oil until crumbly. Press into bottom of pan. Bake 20 minutes.

In large bowl of electric mixer at medium speed beat remaining eggs with corn syrup, sugar and butter until blended; stir in pecans. Pour on top of mixture in pan; bake 45 minutes or until filling has set. Cool completely. Cut into 2 inch squares. Makes 2 dozen cookies.
