PECAN PRALINES 
2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. white Karo syrup
Pinch of salt
2 or 3 c. pecans
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine all the ingredients, except butter and vanilla. Place them in a heavy pot on medium heat. Cook to soft boil stage - 234 degrees F. Take off fire, add butter, vanilla and pecans. Beat until thick and pour out into pralines on waxed paper.
