SWEET POTATO AND APPLE CASSEROLE 
6 boiled sweet potatoes
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
4 apples, pared and sliced
1/2 c. water

Remove potato skins, slice potatoes. Mix brown sugar, cinnamon and salt. Arrange layer of potatoes in buttered casserole; sprinkle with brown sugar mixture and dot with butter. Add layers of apples, sprinkle with brown sugar mixture and dot with butter. Repeat layers ending with potatoes; pour water over top. Cover casserole. Bake at 400 degree oven for 30 minutes or until apples are tender. Uncover, bake until browned.
