NEVER FAIL PIE CRUST 
3 c. flour
1 c. lard
1 tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten
1 tbsp. vinegar
5 tbsp. cold water

Mix flour, lard and salt until cornmeal. Beat egg; add vinegar and water. Make a well in the flour mixture. Pour in liquid and gently mix. Let stand a short time before rolling. Pastry rolls easy and freezes well. Can be refrigerated also. Makes 2 (2 crust) pies.
