PEANUT BUTTER CRINKLES 
1 c. butter
1 c. peanut butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. unsifted plain flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
Sugar and chocolate kisses

In bowl with mixer at medium speed, beat first 6 ingredients until fluffy. At low speed, beat in next 4 ingredients. Shape into 1-inch balls; roll in sugar. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake in 350 degree oven 12 to 15 minutes or until browned. Immediately press chocolate kisses into cookies. Cool; store in airtight container. Makes about 6 dozen. (Can bake up to 1 week ahead; keeps well.)
