CRISP SWEET PICKLE 
1 gal. sliced cucumbers
2 c. pickling lime
2 gals. water
1 qt. vinegar
1 tbsp. salt
4 c. sugar
Dash of allspice

Let cucumbers stand 24 hours in lime and water. Drain and rinse. Let stand in clear water for 3 hours and drain. Mix salt, sugar, and vinegar. Pour over cucumbers and let stand overnight. Place on stove. Add spices; bring to a boil and cook for 30 minutes. Put in jars and seal.
