ZUCCHINI SQUASH PICKLES | |
4-5 lb. zucchini squash, thinly sliced 10 med. onions, sliced 1/2 c. salt 1/2 tsp. alum 1 qt. vinegar 2 c. sugar 2 tsp. mustard seed 2 tsp. turmeric 2 tsp. celery seed Mix first 4 ingredients together and let set for 1 hour. Mix rest of ingredients together. Add to squash mixture. Bring to a boil and boil 3 minutes. Garlic can be added if you desire. Put in jars and seal. |
