OLD FASHION PEANUT BRITTLE 
2 c. sugar
1 c. dark syrup
1 qt. raw peanuts
1 tsp. baking soda

Melt sugar and syrup in large skillet (cast iron is the best). Add raw peanuts (can microwave for 6 minutes before adding to syrup mixture). Cook on low to medium heat for 35-45 minutes or until peanuts are done. Stir often to keep from burning. Remove from heat, stir in baking soda, pour on a greased cookie sheet.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
