KRAUT BURGERS 
Enough white bread dough to 2 loaves
2 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion, chopped
1 lg. (3-5 lb.) head cabbage, chopped in med. pieces

While bread dough is rising for the second time, fry crumbled ground beef and onion. Drain, reserving juices. Return juices to skillet. Add cabbage and 1 cup water. Cover and cook until cabbage is just tender. Drain and mix cabbage and meat together.

Turn dough out and let rest 10 minutes. Pull off enough dough to roll into square, 6 x 6 x 1/8 inch thick. Pile meat mixture in center of dough square. Bring corners together on top and seal edges. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 450 degrees until golden brown. Serve warm or cold. These freeze well wrapped in foil.
