2 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. oil
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. mashed sweet potatoes
1 c. chopped nuts

Sift flour, soda, salt, cloves, nutmeg, and cinnamon all together. Then mix sugar, oil, eggs, vanilla, sweet potatoes, and nuts. Add all ingredients together. Bake in a tube pan for 1 hour and 15 minutes in a 350 degree oven; cool before frosting.

FROSTING:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 stick butter, softened
1 (1 lb.) box confectioners' sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts, chopped fine

Mix all ingredients together and spread on top of cake.
