BUTTER PECAN TURTLE COOKIES 
2 c. flour
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. whole pecans
1 c. milk chocolate chips or Hershey bars
2/3 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar

Combine first 4 ingredients. Mix at medium speed, scraping sides often for 2-3 minutes or well mixed. Pat firmly into 9 x 13 x 2 inch baking pan, ungreased. Sprinkle pecans evenly over unbaked crust.

Prepare caramel layer (next 3 ingredients) in saucepan and boil over medium heat for 1 minute; then pour evenly over pecans and crust. Bake 18-22 minutes until entire layer is bubbly and light brown. Remove and sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Spread as chocolate melts. Cut when cooled.
