PIE FILLING BARS 
1/2 c. Crisco
1/2 c. butter
1 3/4 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond extract
2 3/4 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream together Crisco, butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla and almond extract. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt and add to creamed mixture, blending until smooth. Spread 1/2 of mixture on a jelly roll pan. Cover with pie filling. Put remaining mixture by spoonfuls on top of filling. Bake 20 minutes at 400 degrees.
