PIE FILLING BARS 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. butter
1 3/4 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond extract
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 can cherry pie filling

Spread 2/3 of batter on greased 10 x 15 inch pan (jelly roll pan). Spread with pie filling. Drop remaining batter by small spoonfuls over this. Bake at 350 degrees until done.

Make a glaze: Melt 1 tablespoon butter with 1 tablespoon water; pour over 1 cup powdered sugar and 1/4 teaspoon almond extract. Beat.
